Our Story
Northern Ember Catering was built on a lifetime spent around food, family, and fire.
Growing up in Cold Lake, Alberta, I learned to cook from my mother and grandmother, who taught me that great meals bring people together. My love of barbecue grew over the years, but my understanding of true pit barbecue came from learning alongside a pitmaster carrying Southern smoking traditions from the United States.
Those lessons followed me into the classroom, where I teach culinary arts and continue refining the craft of barbecue. Combining traditional smoking techniques with northern hospitality, Northern Ember Catering was created to serve honest food made with care and attention to detail.
Today, we cater everything from family gatherings and community events to corporate functions and weddings. Every meal is prepared with the same philosophy that started it all: quality ingredients, patience, and food meant to be shared.
